Automobiles in German Town Found Smeared with Swastikas in Blood, Police State

Police mentioned they were contacted by a man who noticed a car in Hanau covered with red-colored liquid

Roughly 50 vehicles have been smeared with what appears to be human blood in the Germany's municipality of Hanau near Frankfurt, according to police.

Cars, walls and postal boxes were defaced, occasionally with Nazi symbols, they announced in a official communication.

Officers say they were contacted in the late hours on Wednesday night, when a resident observed that a vehicle in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been covered with a red-colored substance.

The substance had been placed in the shape of a swastika, they stated.

Officers then located many other marked vehicles and building exteriors in the adjacent neighborhood.

These symbols are banned in Germany under legislation outlawing the visible presentation of Nazi-era symbols.

Law enforcement say initial examinations indicate the fluid was probably human blood.

"There is still no indication as to its origin; authorities are currently not informed of any harm in association with the incident," they stated.

Municipal representatives stated they were attempting "to unravel the incident" and have requested to the residents for details.

An important political figure said the attack left him stunned and had to be solved quickly.

"This event strikes at the core of Hanau and revives the pain of the right-wing attack half a decade ago," he wrote on social media, recalling the murder of nine individuals by a shooter aiming at residents of foreign heritage in five years prior.
