Barcelona to Host First Game at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday

Barcelona have announced their first game will take place at the partially upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome the Bilbao team in the Spanish league over two years since relocating for construction to commence.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited though over 45,000 attendees will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, increasing from the former 99,000. Officials confirmed finished work included a new players’ tunnel plus modern locker rooms.

Recent Activities

Barcelona held an open training session at the Camp Nou on 7 November. Officials stated they are seeking authorization by UEFA to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt in December in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held at the Olympic Stadium.
